Discovery Education –KPBSD currently has access to DE Streaming Plus. Discovery Education Streaming Plus is a comprehensive digital service that supplements instruction across all K-12 curricular areas. Resources are aligned to state standards and searchable. Teacher resources include lesson plans, instructional strategies, and content collections organized around themes. Students can access images, primary source documents, podcasts, oral interviews, books on tape, articles, and videos, to name a few.
Discovery Education also provides research-based professional development for educators and administrators that can be scaled for classroom, school, district, or statewide initiatives.
Accessing Discovery Education~ Outside of Canvas
It is important that users access through the KPBSD Discovery Education portal. This can be found at the KBPSD website by clicking Students / Parents and choosing Discovery Education icon from student shortcut section on left of page.
Teacher & Student Login – Username: eNumber or ID# / Password: Normal Login Password
Login screen must say “Kenai Peninsula Borough School District” at the top in order to access DE successfully.
Accessing Discovery Education~ Within Canvas
Choose Discovery Education from menu of choices on the left in any Canvas course.
Access Discovery Education resources through External Tools in Canvas items that include the Rich Text Editor.
